Pleasure Series 2020 - 2021 Show Season.
Pleasure style competitions at horse shows evaluates horses on manners and suitability of the horse for a relaxed but collected gait, along with calm and responsive disposition. In pleasure competitions horses need to give the appearance of being a "pleasure" to ride and display a pleasurable attitude. They are ridden in informal saddle seat attire at a walk, trot, and canter. Horses should have a quiet, responsive mouth and move with willingness, obvious ease, cadence, balance and smoothness. Pleasure horses are judged on attitude, manners, performance, quality and conformation.
JHA Pleasure Shows are comprised of several disciplines that rewards our competitors for their horsemanship knowledge. . Hope to see you there!
